In contrast, Brahms’s Piano Quartet No. 2 in A Major stands among his most expansive works, marked by emotional depth and profound introspection. It opens with a grand, concerto-like first movement and unfolds through sweeping harmonies and rich textures, conjuring tenderness and longing before culminating in a finale bursting with Hungarian folk rhythms.
