In Winter Wonders, children can play dress up in the cozy cottage, “make” gingerbread cookies, take a stroll through the winter forest and spend time in the cozy reading area. Guests will also be able to explore the mysteries of the “blizzard” pool noodle maze and practice their sliding skills in the newly enlarged “ice skating area.”
Winter Wonders will open on Saturday, November 15 with a blast of cold from the season’s first snowfall, during the annual “Snow Day” celebration. In addition to playing in the artificial snow, families will enjoy snowflake tortillas, the appearance of Jack Frost and Suzy Snowflake and a special “Let It Snow!” Show in the Museum Atrium.
“Winter Wonders offers families the opportunity to enjoy the magic of the holidays in a rich educational setting,” said Jayne Griffin, Director of Education at Creative Discovery Museum. “Children will enjoy the fun of a winter day in the Winter Wondersexhibit.”
