All aboard for a great adventure! On Saturday, December 1, the Holiday Express will return to Creative Discovery Museum. Children ages 18 months to four years will enjoy playing with trains, visit the Gingerbread Village, a special December Holiday Village, Snow Village and Music Depot. Preschool Adventure Day takes place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
With fun at every stop, “All Aboard the Holiday Express!” activities include a chance to be an engineer, get a train whistle, play with train toys, decorate gingerbread men and play with rhythm sticks. Costume characters, including a gingerbread baker, an elf and a snow queen, will greet children at each stop for a photo opportunity.
“This is a holiday experience designed for young children and is the only hands on holiday experience offered in the Chattanooga area,” said Jenette Dean, Early Childhood Coordinator at Creative Discovery Museum. “Young children learn through doing and this holiday event allows even the youngest child to participate in holiday traditions that bring the magic of holidays to life.”
Each Preschool Adventure Day activity will provide children with the experience of a pretend holiday train that will take them through multi-sensory, hands-on activities that incorporate music, art, literacy and lots of fun!
Preschool Adventure Saturdays provide enriching Museum experiences for children ages 18 months to 4 years. Each activity will be educationally and developmentally appropriate, so children will experience the theme of the day in a variety of ways that will be exciting for them.
The December 1 Preschool Adventure Saturday will be the final one for 2012.
