Howdy Partner! Get ready to “ride out west” for the day! Creative Discovery Museum’s Preschool Adventure Day is going on a western journey on Saturday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to Noon. Children will have a rootin tootin’ good time as they pet a real pony and watch Hunter Shahan, a teenage rodeo star, do rope tricks. Make cowboy hats and stick horses to take home as well.

During Preschool Adventure Day, children will experience multi-sensory, hands-on activities that incorporate music, art, literacy and lots of fun. Ooltewah High School ROTC students and Howard High School Early Childhood students will be volunteering at the event and will be available to guide guests through the western town.

“Research shows young children learn best by hands-on experience and Round-Up Western Day will provide a wealth of new vocabulary experiences,” said Jenette Dean, PlayGym Coordinator. “This is definitely an event that will provide lasting memories for children and families.”

Preschool Adventure Saturdays provide enriching Museum experiences for children ages 18 months to 4 years. Each activity will be educationally and developmentally appropriate, so children will experience the theme of the day in a variety of ways that will be exciting for them.

This event is included in paid admission to the Museum.
