After a one-year hiatus, we are pleased to announce the return of the popular Holiday Starlight Parade on December 10th at 6pm, thanks to the generosity of Volkswagen Chattanooga, who will serve as presenting sponsor. Produced by Chattanooga Presents, this holiday tradition is back and better than ever!

The parade route will follow Market Street from M.L.King to 2nd Street, crossing in front of the Tennessee Aquarium before it disbands at Ross’ Landing. The review stand, MC’d by Channel 3 commentators, will be located in the 200 block of Market Street, across from 212 Market. “I am so pleased that Volkswagen Chattanooga was able to help re-establish the parade so that this family event can continue to be a part of the holiday season in Chattanooga,” said Frank Fischer, Chair and CEO of Volkswagen Chattanooga.

The procession is expected to feature over sixty entries, consisting of regional bands, balloons, floats, walking units, and of course, Volks Folks - all strung with festive holiday lights. Dozens of volunteers will also be walking along the parade route, handing out candy and other treats to kids young and old. However, the most anticipated entry is always saved for last – Santa himself – arriving with lots of pomp and good cheer. This evening parade is a visual and audible treat for the entire family.
