Experience all the snow you want without the icy driving conditions at Creative Discovery Museum. On Saturday, November 19, 2011, Creative Discovery Museum will host the first snow fall of the season, with the assistance of a snow machine. In addition to playing in the artificial snow, guests will also be treated with snow crème, snow dough, appearance of the “Snow Queen” and a special “Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!” show in the Atrium.
From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., children will be engaged while learning the science behind the wonder of snow and participate in projects that can be duplicated at home for parents and children to do together.
“Snow Day promotes play, which helps develop a child’s intelligence,” said Jayne Griffin, Director of Education at Creative Discovery Museum. “This event will be full of fun, playful activities that will help children understand the change of seasons and celebrate the joy and wonder of simple pleasures found during the magical winter season.”
Snow Day activities are free with paid admission to the Museum.
