For explorations with musical instruments or animals in your own backyard, look no further! Homeschool Science Club announces the opening of the 2011-2012 sessions at Creative Discovery Museum. Homeschool Science Club sessions will be held on Thursdays from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. from September through May. Enrollment is now open.
Homeschool Science club integrates science topics and hands-on activities with group interaction and exploration time in the Museum. From exploring the science of sound to defying gravity, Homeschool Science Club combines fun activities with in-depth science lessons throughout the school year. Creative Discovery Museum offers this unique opportunity for homeschool students ages 5 – 12.
“The Homeschool Science Club gives kids that are homeschooled the unique opportunity to work together with their peers on solving science ‘mysteries’, exploring scientific topics, plus spending time in the Museum,” stated Lynne Mulligan, Senior Programs Manager at Creative Discovery Museum. “Kids will have a great deal of fun while learning about topics they already find interesting.”
The four-week session topics include:
May: Out of this World – Explore the solar system constellations and the individual properties of various stars.

Fees for this exclusive Homeschool experience are $45 per 4 week session for members and $55 per 4 week session for non-members. Payment is due at the time of registration. A special parking rate is available during class hours for $1.50 in the parking lot behind the Museum. You will receive a special discount pass with your registration. Plus, non-members will also have free admission to the Museum daily during homeschool class hours.
