Go, Get Out! Creative Discovery Museum’s Fall Break Camp will get children in the great outdoors and encourage them to explore their own backyard. This camp, offered October 17 – October 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., will provide a unique experience encouraging active games and science activities inside and outside of the Museum. Age groups for the camp are Kindergarten through 2nd grade and 3rd to 5th grade.
Campers will play active games outdoors and explore the Museum indoors, as they participate in a wide variety of arts and crafts projects. From cooking to box sledding and focused art activities, children will love learning about what is in their own backyard. As a special treat, the week will conclude with a field trip to a local apple orchard.
“With the gorgeous scenery that surrounds the Chattanooga area, we are excited to offer these students an opportunity to explore their own backyard,” states Lynne Mulligan, Senior Programs Manager at Creative Discovery Museum. “The program includes a trip to a climbing wall, cooking lessons, plenty of outdoor games as well as time spent in the Museum.”
