The holiday season will be here before you know it and the Bessie Smith Cultural Center (BSCC) is joining forces with a variety of multicultural groups to present Holiday’s Around the Globe.

On Tuesday, November 15, the BSCC is hosting the second annual Holiday Around the Globe. From the Native Americans and Scottish communities to Greeks and Cubans, the holiday season is celebrated differently across cultures. Ethnic communities from across Chattanooga will educate and showcase their traditions and customs through song, dance, poetry, and food. In addition to enjoying the performances, attendees will have an opportunity to purchase handcrafted jewelry, ornaments, clothing, and more from multicultural vendors.

This family friendly affair will be held from 4 pm – 8 pm at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center located at 200 E. Martin Luther King Boulevard. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.

If you are intersted in showcasing your culture’s holiday traditions contact Marty Mitchell at (423) 266-8658 for participation information.
