East Chattanooga Weed and Seed and others present this free Gang Awareness Seminar designed to educate both youth and parents about the dangers of choosing the gang lifestyle. Campus Crusade National Director for Student Venture Darryl Smith will be the keynote speaker. The Chattanooga Police Department Crime Suppression Unit will describe common signs, symbols and colors associated with gang activity and membership. Entertainment will be provided by T.J. Jordan and the Harriet Tubman Express. The MYTD Youth will present a short play, Many Colors, One Solution. Alternative resource vendors will be on-site providing information and assistance for parents and youth. This summit is FREE, but registration is required.
