Gingerbread Workshops at Creative Discovery Museum bring families and friends together to create a gingerbread house that will add warmth to homes during the holiday season. Children and their families may decorate their own house and gingerbread cookies with icing and an assortment of candy. The workshops will be held in the Museum’s Culinary Corner beginning November 20th. Reservations are required.
The Museum offers these workshops annually, and for many families, it has become part of their holiday tradition year after year. Children and adults are encouraged to sign up early for this confectionary class as a fun way to kick-off the holiday season.
“Watching the kids create their own gingerbread masterpieces, as well as get covered in icing and candy as they sneak a few bits, is just priceless,” comments Lynne Mulligan, the Museum’s Programs Manager.
In addition to the gingerbread construction, participants will enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, and holiday music that creates a festive, seasonal atmosphere.
“We are excited to host another season of Gingerbread Workshops at Creative Discovery Museum,” continues Ms. Mulligan. “We hope that decorating a gingerbread house at the Museum will be a tradition that families look forward to each year.”
Space is limited and registration is required. Fees for the workshop are $25 for members and $30 for non-members. Payment is due upon registration. For more information, guests may visit www.cdmfun.org or call Nancy at (423) 648-6045 or Beth at (423) 648-6040.
