The Ensemble Theatre of Chattanooga is excited, thrilled and charged up as they get ready to present their touring children's theatre play Furry Tails...with a Twist by Jennifer Hickok-DeFratis. "The premise is that two actors show up ready to perform three of the world's most famous fairy tales, but one slight tumble sends the script into complete disarray and all the stories get jumbled," mentions Producing Partner John Thomas Cecil.
The production features ETC newcomers Jamie Goodnight and Evie Durant in the quick-paced, two actor masterpiece. "It's sit back and have fun kind of theatre" mentions Goodnight. Durant says "Furry Tails is a fun, new way of teaching kids about creative writing and story structure...oh and recycling." The show is directed by ETC veteran Casey Keelen and stage managed by John Thomas Cecil, with Brenda Schwab designing the costumes.
Furry Tails...With a Twist will be touring to local elementary schools through the remaining fall semester and into the spring semester of 2011. The show is still available for booking at any school in Hamilton or any Tennessee or Georgia surrounding counties. The show is also available to book for children's birthday parties, church events, or other civic groups who might want to present entertaining live theatre for children. All booking queries should send an email to ensemble.theatre.chattanooga@gmail.com, attention John Thomas Cecil.
