Creative Discovery Museum offers a distinctive opportunity for homeschool students ages 5 – 12. The Homeschool Science Club at Creative Discovery Museum incorporates fun learning activities, exploration time in the Museum, and collaborative problem-solving with peers. From prehistoric animals and exploration of color and light to kitchen chemistry and the ecology of the Tennessee River, Science topics are explored in depth through hands-on activities and group interaction. Enrollment is now open. Students have the option to attend either Wednesdays or Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. from September through May.

“The Homeschool Science Club gives kids that are homeschooled the unique opportunity to work together with their peers on solving science ‘mysteries’, exploring scientific topics, plus spending time in the Museum,” stated Lynne Mulligan, Museum Programs Manager. “Kids will have a great deal of fun while learning really cool information about topics they already find interesting.” Reservations may be made by calling Nancy at (423) 648-6045 or Beth at (423) 648-6040. Fees for Homeschool Science Club are $45 per 4 week session for members and $55 per 4 week session for non-members. Payment is due at the time of registration. A special parking discount is available during class hours for $1.50. Plus, non-members will also have free admission to the Museum for the duration of the homeschool class.
