On May 29th, all visitors to the Museum will be invited to celebrate a festive birthday with cake, ice cream and lively music. Guests are encouraged to come early to design party hats and noisemakers in preparation for the cake cutting at 1:00 p.m. on the Museum Plaza. Free cake and ice cream will be available while quantities last. Also, guests may visit the Culinary Corner to see Sibyl Carmichael of Chattanooga’s The Sugar Shoppe demonstrate decorating a birthday cake and learn about the art of decorating with icing. All children participating in the class will receive three, home-made sugar cookies and specialized instruction on how to use decorating tips to create delicious and enticing icing designs. A day of special activities and fun is planned to celebrate the Chattanooga icon’s 15th birthday.
