The season concludes with two odes to the majesty of the Sea. Debussy's La Mer is his most famous and popular work for orchestra and paints a glorious seascape in his unique style. Across the channel, Englishman Vaughan Williams' setting of the words of Walt Whitman for chorus and soloists is a deeply moving and incredibly beautiful homage. A fitting end to a wonderful season!
