Chattanooga Ducks Unlimited and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will host a work day in local Wildlife Management Areas on Saturday, March 8. Volunteers are needed to help clear underbrush to give waterfowl more area to rest on their journey back north to breeding grounds. The cleanup focus areas are stopover sites for migratory birds and also home to local duck populations. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Wal-Mart in Soddy Daisy at 8:30 a.m. and to bring waders and something to cut brush with, like pruning shears, small hand saws, or loppers. Email or call Chattanooga Ducks Unlimited Area Chairman Michael Williams at (423) 822-0286 for more information.
