The History and Political Studies Department at Southern Adventist University invites the community to join in welcoming Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Edward Larson, PhD, to present the 2026 Benjamin McArthur Endowed Lecture highlighting the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution on Wednesday, April 8, at 7 p.m. in Lynn Wood Hall Chapel on campus.
Larson’s free lecture titled “What a Difference a Year Makes: Washington, Franklin, and the Epic Transition” highlights the historic events of 1775 and 1776 as a decade-long colonial struggle transformed into the birth pains of a globally significant revolution for liberty and equality under law and republican rule.
