Chattanooga Coca-Cola, the world’s first Coca-Cola bottler, turned 125 years old in July and the company is celebrating the historic milestone for 125 days throughout the Scenic City.
Chattanooga Coca-Cola’s 125th anniversary date was July 21, when the company hosted a celebration for its associates. The following day, July 22, the Coca-Cola team delivered commemorative bottles in downtown Chattanooga to community leaders and hosted an open house for the Shepherd community.
Chattanooga Coca-Cola began ringing in its anniversary with a commemorative painting unveiling at the Tennessee Aquarium, prize giveaways and a “Coca-Cola Night” at a Chattanooga Lookouts game. Past events included:
- Coca-Cola product samplings the week of July 22. Click here to see the daily schedule.
- Coca-Cola Night at Chattanooga Football Club, July 27 at 7 p.m., Finley Stadium
Upcoming events include:
- Coca-Cola 125th Anniversary Presents Girl Named Tom, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m., Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Stadium
Girl Named Tom’s sound is built on the angelic voice of Bekah and the beautiful sibling harmony added by her two brothers, Joshua & Caleb. Their homegrown style combines the classics (Joni Mitchell; Crosby, Stills & Nash) with pop artists of today (Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Adrianne Lenker). Fun fact (because we know you're wondering): the band's name is based on a childhood nickname! Joshua used to call Bekah "Thomas" when she was a baby.
