The public is invited to a concert by the Southern Adventist University Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Laurie Redmer Minner, on Tuesday, April 23, at 7:30 p.m. The evening will include Richard Wagner’s overture to Tannhauser, Felix Mendelsson’s “Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in E minor, op. 64,” and Robert Schumann’s “Symphony No. 4 in D minor, op. 120.” The concert will feature Daniel Esperante, senior music performance major, as a student conductor, as well as Geoffrey Herd, violin professor from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, as a soloist.
