As we age, our bodies change and physical abilities are no longer what they once were. Injuries occur more often and more easily, and they take longer to heal. We cannot ignore aging and continue to function in the same way we always have without an increased risk of injury. Our routines and goals must be different, for example aiming for improved resistance rather than muscle bulk while exercising, and aspiring to a well-toned healthy body in which to live a fully functional life.

This class will examine pertinent aspects of aging with respect to exercise (especially strength training). An exercise methodology will be suggested, as well as ways to adapt it to a home routine.
