“The First Four” refers to the first four months of a puppy’s life. These are arguably the most important months of development. During this time puppies pick up on behaviors that will set the stage for future learning. As we know, puppies don’t stay puppies for very long and it’s this critical but brief window where puppies learn how to interact with other dogs and how to navigate in a human world. There is great opportunity in the first four months for us to shape our dog’s first and impressionable experiences. When done properly and consistently our puppies develop seamlessly into the well-adjusted, mannered, and happy dogs we hope for.

This is a 4-part class meeting every Thursday evening at 6pm for four consecutive weeks. Each class will consist of puppy playtime and socialization where you will learn how to shape your puppy’s play into positive interactions with other dogs. In addition to play/socialization, each Thursday night will have a different themed lesson:

  • Week One: Crate & Potty Training
  • Week Two: Intro to Obedience
  • Week Three: Impulse Control
  • Week Four: Feeding & Nutrition

Important Note! Class is for all puppies 9 weeks to 4 months old. You MUST provide proof of distemper/parvo vaccination (2 rounds from licensed vet.). This is for the safety of all puppies and you will not be allowed to attend class without proper documentation. This class is priced per dog, up to two humans can come with one ticket.

This class is in partnership with the Main St. Pet Wellness Center.
