Ever felt like making your own book from scratch? In this class we will be making a “3-hole pamphlet stitch” booklet that you can use as a sketchbook, journal, or notebook from recycled materials. We will use re-purposed chip board covers (cereal boxes, soda boxes, postcards, greeting cards and beer 6-pack cases all work great). We will then hand sew our pages onto the covers.
Supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring any special journal touches you have in mind, such as:
- your own chipboard from home for covers (i.e. case from your favorite brand of beer or your kid’s favorite cereal)
- your own fill paper (vintage, graph, lined, colored, etc.) We will provide blank white paper.
- anything that can be glued to paper or sewn or strung onto thread (buttons, charms, images to collage, use your imagination!
Also, Julie Darling Donuts will still be serving! Donuts + Books...what could be better?
