Scenic City Roots LIVE from Track29 is a monthly two-hour musical variety show that revives the historic legacy of live musical radio production. The idea is to showcase Chattanooga as a city rich in history and musical culture.
Broadcast on WTCI public television on Thursday nights at 9pm EST, and airing live on WPLZ Hippie Radio 105.9 FM. Scenic City Roots sheds a light on Chattanooga as a culturally diverse city with a revitalized local music scene as well as regional music that has been imported from Country, Blues, and Americana to more progressive interpreters of tradition - a "roots and branches" format that brings together fans of different tastes and generations. Presented LIVE from Track29 located on the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo campus this show highlights purveyors of musical quality and authenticity cross many genres.

Rachel Baiman
Rachel Baiman is a fiddle/banjo player, singer, and composer based out of Nashville, TN. Specializing in Old Time, Bluegrass, Scottish, and Folk music, her interests are diverse and range from the oldest fiddle traditions to the most innovative of collaborations.
Little Country Giants
Vintage southern folk, bluegrass, and country band, Little Country Giants, bring America’s heartland to audiences across America. Gathering accolades, like a magnet gathers iron filings, the unique sound of the Little Country Giants draws audiences and nurtures fans.
Sour Bridges
Sour Bridges play browngrass music; it’s like bluegrass, just a little dirtier. With rock n’ roll inspiration, a steady drum beat and some good old-fashioned doo-wop sensibility, Sour Bridges have a sound that is all their own. Formed in 2009 in Austin, Texas the five members of Sour Bridges bring a wide variety of character and instrumentation to the table. Their music is homegrown and simple. The group succeeds in bringing together a fresh blend of fiddle, banjo, mandolin and acoustic guitar. This organic arrangement is complimented with undeniably tight vocal harmonies that highlight the bands’ dynamic range.
Barry Waldrep
Barry Waldrep is a blazing instrumentalist on many instruments, and bonds with the road and the stage. As a side-man with others or performing with his own band, it is sure to be a great performance.
