Join us for DAY 1 of CAPTURE! CAPTURE is a unique Community-Sourced 48 Hour Film Project. Led by AVA (Association of Visual Arts), the aim is to encourage and empower the community-anyone with access to a digital HD Camera (even an iPhone) can participate-by coming together to shoot, score, edit and enjoy a one-of-a-kind film perspective of our community.

HOW THIS WORKS:

DAY 1 / FRIDAY - SEPTEMBER 27TH

Gather at Walker Pavilion to register and receive instructions - including the theme for the film. From there, you will have the next 24 hours to capture imagery that will best tell the story.

DAY 2 / SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 28TH

Filmmakers gather at the CAPTURE Editing Studio at the AVA Galleries. Footage is collected, copied and delivered to the Editing Teams. Editing Teams spend next available hours editing three distinct versions of the Community-Sourced film while bands score.

DAY 3 / SUNDAY - SEPTEMBER 29TH: PREMIERE + AWARDS

Attend the Premiere Event to screen the three films of this collaborative, creative process on the big screen at Track 29. And what's a film project without awards? One of the films will be named Best of Show by special guest judge Jonathan Talpin, Director - Annenberg Innovation Lab at the University of Southern California who will be joining Capture Premiere Night from California, live, over EPB's GIG Fiber. Other awards include online People's Choice Award and Best Footage.
