Mat Alano-Martin comes to comedy from the world of rock and roll, where he spent 10 years touring as a sad-bastard Americana singer-songwriter, opening for a who's who of indie rockers and roots revivalists and headlining his own smaller, less well attended shows.
After the one millionth person commented to him that his stage banter was better than his songwriting, he decided to set the guitar down and give comedy a shot.
Alano-Martin has become a regular face on the mid-west comedy scene. He has worked with Nikki Glaser, Moeshe Kasher, Glenn Wool, Gabe Kea and John Evans among others.
