Pop music can lead to learning new things and meeting interesting people. This is the musical representation of that fact. Come to JJ's on March 28th to see three incredible pop bands that will have you thinking "Hey... Where's my wallet?!"
-Casper & the Cookies-
Here's what the kids are sayin' 'bout C&tC:
“Rocking from Athens, GA Casper & The Cookies are a fun little rock and roll band. They’re everything you like best about The Monkees, Nick Lowe, the dB’s, XTC, Sparks, the B-52’s, and earlier Bowie all wrapped up in one colorful musical ribbon.” -WXPN Blog
“Miles and miles of conceptual pop soundscape. An eternity of possibilities.” -Aiding & Abetting
“This is a band that embraces making challenging music. Their glossy surface is what makes them attractive.” -URB

-Mythical Motors-
A powerpop, garage band featuring the songs of its prolifically pop-minded creator, Matt Addison. While Mythical Motors are known for their pop/rock goodness, they are also known for serving up a good time anywhere they play--except that one show, and they are still really sorry about that. Formerly Heaven's Basement (not Heaven's Gate), the current line-up of this Chattanooga-based band features former members of The Laundromatics and The Unlikely and has been playing together since 2008.

-Courter, Clouse & King-
This band of merry men dance about on stage throwing flowers directly in your face whilst playing jaunty tunes on their electronic guitars & their non-electric drum kit. Fun, upsetting, aerobic, corn fritter are all just a sampling of words that can be used to describe the music of Courter, Clouse & King. As their rocking front man, Brian Q. King, always says: "Be there..."
