Rep. Brown worked alongside Maxine Cousin, Lorenzo Ervin, and other prominent Chattanooga activists to bring about the lawsuit that changed the very structure of Chattanooga City Government. Her tireless pursuit of progressive ideals has forever changed the history of our City.

Rep. Brown will be speaking to COA about the history of Brown v. Board (the lawsuit that resulted in the formal recognition by a federal court of the racist structure of our city government and resulted in profound historical changes), the transition from At Large to District Representation, and the City of Chattanooga's newly finished redistricting which has been criticized by both the NAACP and Rep. Brown.
