Tonight we have a late addition that promises to be a delight, when Chrisite Burns brings dulcimers and good friends into Barking Legs, along with the irrepresible Georgia Sidewinders. It's a pass-the-hat event, so don't let your budget hold you back... enjoy the Old Timey sounds!
Christie Burns, director of the Folk School of Chattanooga, is tuning up the hammered dulcimer and inviting some friends for a performance at Barking Legs this Sunday, October 30, at 8pm. Christie will be accompanied by Aaron O'Rourke, opening the show with a few pieces from her new CD, "Wildwood Flower", and Jim Pfitzer will spook us with some scary stories.
The Georgia Sidewinders are Chris "Snake" Ryan and Laney "Lightning" House, purveyors of the most energetic and authentic traditional Southern old time music you could ever experience live without traveling by time machine back to 1927.
This performance is free, but please also feel free to toss a dollar or two in the hat when it gets passed!
