Tennessee Titans' Tony Brown and his wife, LaChandra, will sponsor their fourth annual family picnic on June 25, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m., at New Covenant Fellowship Church, 1326 North Moore Road, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

"When I was a kid, no one did anything like this for me'" said Mr. Brown. "That's why this picnic is so important to me. It's my way of giving back, and to show the kids that someone really cares for them."

This year, along with providing a free meal for a day, Mr. and Mrs. Brown will use the event to educate the community on how to grow their own food in raised gardens.

Dr. Bernie Miller, the church's pastor and chairman of the New Covenant Community Development Corporation said, "After touring the food bank with church leaders, and discovering from Feeding America that one out of six people in our community go to bed hungry, we felt compelled to do something both physically and spiritually. It's hard to talk to someone about the gospel if their stomach is growling from hunger. I'm pleased that Tony and LaChandra decided to use their picnic to draw attention to this issue."
