CATBIRD SEAT is an original acoustic band blending elements of rock, blues, folk, bluegrass, and other great Americana genres to create an eclectic sound of adult alternative music. Bob Bedell, Rob Griffin, and Brett Norton were one of the original acts to play the Eddie’s Attic Stage in Decatur, where they made their home with good friends Michelle Malone, Caroline Aiken, Shawn Mullins, and Kristian Bush. Their early releases One of These Days and Fairytales and Songs became cornerstones of the Decatur music scene, and the latest release Newleaf exhibits a mature path of detailed songwriting, harmonies, and musicianship that defines the band.
Catbird Seat is currently playing shows in Chapel Hill, Atlanta, Decatur, and June 23 marks the band’s Chattanooga debut.
