Starbolt 9 is melodious space rock, conceived by stellar frontman Joe Medici. The band's fusion of classic glam rock, post punk and modern Brit-pop has raised more than a few eyebrows, earning them comparisons to legends such as David Bowie, Echo and The Bunnymen and The Verve, and the praise of Sex Pistols founder, Glen Matlock. Medici's dark, ultra-expressive vocals and new romantic lyrical musings are complimented by the lush, hypnotic guitar lines of Mik Rodriguez, the psychedelic keyboard soundscapes and classical piano embellishments of Jeff Binder, the monstrous, yet precise, bass thunder of Nicky "Beast" Bowman and the rhythmic pulse of drummer Patsy Bennett. Starbolt 9 has now become New York City's foremost neo-glam band.
