"The Annual Boxcar Pinion Memorial Bluegrass Festival is a tribute and is held in the honor of our Daddy, Boxcar Pinion who lost his life to cancer in 1990. Of course, we are here also in the memory of our sweet, sweet Momma, Frances Pinion, who passed away in 2007.

We are sisters - Cindy Pinion - Inez Pinion Castleberry - Ruth Pinion.

Plus a host of wonderful, hardworking friends and family who have helped us put together what has become one of the best Bluegrass Festivals around.

The Festival also promotes bluegrass music and keep Daddy’s memory alive with the music and fun that he gave to so many people. Please read Boxcar’s story."
