April is Jazz Appreciation month! To celebrate the history, heritage and legacy of women in jazz, the Bessie Smith Cultural Center in partnership with Creative Underground and The Links, Incorporated Chattanooga Chapter will host a jazz celebration on Sunday, April 17 at the Bessie Smith Hall.

The celebration will include live musical performances by Chattanooga’s Creative Underground and various youth musicians. In addition to enjoying the live music, guests will also have an opportunity to view Jerry Allen’s art exhibition, All That Jazz.

This family friendly affair will be held from 6 pm – 8 pm at the Bessie Smith Hall located at 200 E. Martin Luther King Boulevard. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
