This show is just one happy accident. We contacted Jeff hoping to schedule his duo at a later date for our jazz series, and it happened that the full 5-piece Mu-tet had an open night this particular weekend, so we grabbed them. Their Riverbend set was my favorite of this year's festival by a lot. You know Jeff Coffin even if you don't think so, since he was Bela Fleck's saxophonist for years (and won 3 Grammys), and now he's now a full-time member of the Dave Matthews Band . We can call this the next installment of Jazz at Barking Legs, but it's really kick-ass music that knows no boundaries: jazz, funk, rock, much more. Prepare to be bowled over!
