On November 13 and 14, the Guatemalan Consulate from Atlanta will visit Chattanooga. The Consulate is working with La Paz, Chattanooga's leading Latino organization, and we want to extend this opportunity to you as well. Join us at the East Lake Recreation Center on November 13 and 14. The Consulate will provide those that register, the opportunity to receive Guatemalan-issued identification cards, passports and birth certificates. "Each government has a duty to document their native people living in other countries, " said Ahiezer Merari Alvir, Liason Consular Officer for the Consulate of Guatemala in Atlanta.

The majority of Latinos living in Chattanooga are from Guatemala and this is a unique opportunity to reach out to this growing population.
