Area women are invited to spend an informative, relaxing and joyous week of fellowship at Orchard Knob Missionary Baptist Church Women’s Conference beginning Sunday, October 3 through Sunday, October 10. The conference entitled “Christian Women At Their Best When The World Is At Its Worse” is for women ages 18 and older and will be held at the church located at 1734 E. Third Street.

The conference will kick off on Sunday, October 3 with a musical featuring the mass choirs from Orchard Knob Missionary Baptist Church and Hawkinsville Baptist Church. Additionally, the gospel ensemble, Honesty will perform.

Activities will be held throughout the week at Orchard Knob Missionary Baptist Church which include:

Community Outreach projects will be held at the following locations:

Financial Workshop: Estate Planning

The weeklong festivities will culminate on Saturday at 9 am with a variety of educational and spiritual seminars designed to enrich the mind, body, and souls of area women. These seminars range from estate planning and healthy living to women balancing time with family and God. Conference officials will also host special panel discussions for young women ages 18-28. These discussions will be centered on maintaining a Christian lifestyle while in college, using technology for good and not evil and medical issues affecting young women.

Following the morning long seminars, a luncheon will be held whereby Minister Linda McDaniel of Second Missionary Baptist Church will serve as the keynote speaker.

On Sunday, October 10, Reverend H. Bruce Maxwell of Lake Providence Baptist Church in Nashville will deliver the Sunday message at 7:45 am and 10:45 am worship services. The public is invited to attend both services.
