This Birmingham, Alabama based band has become one of the forerunners in the "Newgrass" musical revolution in America. Their constant touring from colleges to concert halls has taken them coast to coast playing their souped-up brand of acoustic grassrock.
Opening shows for everyone from Greg Allman to Widespread Panic, the sound of the "Hay" has put a smile on many happy faces. No strangers to marketing, the group keeps in touch with its fans (Hayheads) through a professionally serviced web site and a well-maintained mailing list.
The music of Rollin' in the Hay has been described as "Groove Grass", "Renegade Bluegrass", and even "Redneck Speed Metal". Their catalog of six albums well represents all of the above descriptions.
