EarthDayz is back at Rock City Gardens every weekend in April except April 30 (Fridays-Sundays), from 11 am 4 pm. Rock City Raptors Birds of Prey Shows are featured daily during this event, as well as RockQuest Adventures*, make-and-take recycling projects, panning for gems* and Fairyland Forest Makeovers*! Also, the Easter Bunny is onsite March 27 April 4 from 10 am 4 pm!
Artist-in-Residence John McLeod (www.johnmcleod.net) is on the lineup to create a newly commissioned outdoor sculpture next to the pavilion. Watch as he uses chainsaws, chisels and other fun tools to create a Rock City-inspired piece made out of materials from the property.
The birds of prey shows are offered at 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm during EarthDayz, and returning during the summer. Come beak-to-beak with the mighty hawk. Get a glimpse at a nocturnal hunter, the owl, and be amazed by the majesty of a bald eagle. Enjoy this rare opportunity to witness these powerful and majestic birds up close.
The RockQuest Adventure includes a free climb on the 25-foot Climbing Wall, a bag of polished rocks and a RockQuest guide to look for clues to many of the geological wonders along the Enchanted Trail at Rock City Gardens.
