the Bessie Smith Cultural Center will also host SOUL CINEMA every Friday evening from 7:30 pm - midnight throughout February. For just $10, moviegoers aged 21 years and older will have an opportunity to view a classic African American movie enjoy popcorn and relish the evening’s signature drink.

The movies scheduled to show at the SOUL CINEMA include:

Five Heart Beats, starring Robert Townsend and Michael Wright (1991)

The party begins after the movie, as the SOUL CINEMA will be converted into a mainstream disco hall. 25% of the proceeds raised from the Soul Cinema will benefit the Haiti Relief Fund.
