The Pnuma Trio has been recognized for their powerful improvisation and innovative compositions since they exploded onto the electronic music scene in 2004. “ They’ve become one of the most talked about young bands in the country,” according to Jambase and they have shared the stage with renowned groups such as The Disco Biscuits, Zilla, and STS9. Since their debut in 2004, bass guitarist Alex B, has taken on his own solo project, spending the majority of his free time in the studio working on his own music. He has appeared on a number of albums such as Eliot Lipp’s, “Live From The Beat Bunker,” and just released his own album, “ The Mr. Nice Guy Mix,” back in May and the brand new “Brain Food Mix” this month.
Alex B’s superior artistry and talent are reflected in the originality and quality of his music. Synthesizer and bass are layered over broken hip-hop and down tempo beats to create his own signature sound. Alex combines cutting edge digital technology and a style that is deeply rooted in jazz to produce an innovative sound that cannot be pinned down to just one genre of music. His eclectic compositions have been an inspiration to the beat revolution.
