Warehouse Row supports the Jordan Thomas Foundation with a silent auction and culinary event in the courtyard.
Led by community-minded real estate investment firm Jamestown, Warehouse Row, Chattanooga’s premier destination for boutique shopping, dining and office space, will host the Third Annual Low Country Boil on Saturday, October 3, 2009, benefiting the Jordan Thomas Foundation. Dedicated to raising money for children with traumatic injuries, the Jordan Thomas Foundation is the namesake of its founder, a young man who lost both legs in a boating accident and who is now motivated to support others with similar injuries. The event will feature authentic low country food and cocktails, with ticket sales and proceeds from the evening’s silent auction benefiting the foundation. The Low Country Boil precedes the annual Jordan Thomas Foundation Golf Classic, which will be held at Chattanooga Golf and Country Club on Monday, October 5, 2009.
“With ample space in a dynamic development in the center of downtown Chattanooga, Warehouse Row’s courtyard is the ideal venue for this year’s Low Country Boil,” said Jen Mingola, property manager of Warehouse Row. “Jamestown is proud to support the Jordan Thomas Foundation, an organization that represents the best of Chattanooga, and we are honored to contribute to the community by partnering with this type of local charitable organization. Hosting this event demonstrates Warehouse Row’s commitment to social responsibility.”
A sophomore at the College of Charleston, Jordan Thomas instituted the Jordan Thomas Foundation Golf Classic to combine his two passions: playing golf and aiding victims of childhood trauma. The Low Country Boil attracts a wider audience to the cause and builds anticipation for the Golf Classic. Live music from Delicious Blues Stew, a party band playing blues, zydeco and classic party tunes, will accompany a night of cocktails and low country food, including shrimp, sausage and potatoes. Guests also will have the opportunity to further support the foundation by bidding on items donated to the silent auction.
The Jordan Thomas Foundation Third Annual Low Country Boil will be held on Warehouse Row’s courtyard on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $75 and $50 for guests under the age of 30 and are available online at www.jordanthomasfoundation.org.
