Celebrate the grand opening weekend of Jellies: Living Art Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17 with music and dance at the Tennessee Aquarium and the Hunter Museum of American Art.

A kaleidoscope of free performances on the plazas outside both museums will inspire all ages to "Jam with the Jellies." These mysterious creatures are found pulsing within every ocean current on Earth, so you'll be immersed in a variety of musical traditions from Caribbean steel drums to world music with an African beat, Celtic voices and even acoustic Delta blues. If you feel the rhythm, dance along jelly-style to the sounds of "Monday Night Big Band" and "Swing Shift" or watch Zanzibar belly dancers become mesmerizing "jelly dancers" as they move to the Eastern Indian music of Third Culture Band. From magic to mime, performing arts spring to life during JellieFest.

Street performers will engage all ages, the Chattanooga Girls Concert Choir presents a tapestry of songs and the CSO Jazz Ensemble will have toes tapping to the beat. Stroll through an outdoor sculpture garden and over a glass bridge connecting the Aquarium and Hunter as you explore the joint exhibition and jam sessions all weekend.
