Passion Flower, a multi-media performance event at Barking Legs Theater, will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2009, at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $15 at the door or by advance purchase at www.barkinglegs.org.
A year ago, Ann Law first performed Passion Flower, an exploration of alternative approaches to healing after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Now she revisits her piece, once more looking at the healing process through words, dance and collaboration, this time with three other breast cancer survivors.
The cinematic aspect of this year’s performance will be a film of Debbie Fassino, Elaine Hill, Lynn Harding and Law reflecting on and discussing their experiences with breast cancer. How they coped and how they took back their lives will be the focus of this years film.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to BREAST CANCER NETWORK of STRENGTH, Chattanooga, which was formerly known as the Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization, www.networkofstrength.org.
