On display at the museum is Jazz Greats:The Work of Jerry Allen. Jerry Allen, an acclaimed artist who hails from the Chattanooga area, skillfully captures the motion, intensity, and passion of jazz’s legendary artists by using charcoal.
Jazz Greats will be on display at the Chattanooga African American Museum from November 7 through January 9, 2009. Visitors can tour this exhibit as well as others Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. or on Saturdays from Noon to 4 pm. General admission is $5, $3 for senior citizens and students and $2 for children ages 6-12. Members and children 5 and under are free.
