To kick off our spring 2009 offerings, we bring the widely-acclaimed Celtic/Early Music Crossover group Ensemble Galilei to the UTC Fine Arts Center for a multi-media experience you won’t want to miss. Entitled A Universe of Dreams, the Patten Performances brings a wonderful evening of music, poetry and stories to Chattanooga for the first time.
Narrated by Neal Conan, host of NPR’s Talk of the Nation, with projected images from the Hubble Telescope, the concert marries music to words in a way that is utterly compelling and beautiful. Audiences have been swept away by this extraordinary combination of the spoken word and what has been described by critics as “....music that speaks to the heart in ways that transcend mere language.”
As an added bonus, the UTC Fine Arts Center is hosting a dessert reception and evening of stargazing at UTC’s Jones Observatory on Sunday, January 25 for subscribers only who choose to attend this performance. Join us for a weekend of music and stars!
