The Chattanooga Parks and Recreation Department Therapeutic Recreation Division will be celebrating spring with their first annual Sprig Prom for individuals of ALL abilities. The event is scheduled for Friday, April 25, 2008 at the Heritage House in Heritage Park.

The 2008 Spring Prom is being held with the purpose of providing an opportunity for individuals of all abilities to have the real “Prom” experience. Participants and their families of all ages who have physical, cognitive, social, and/or emotional disabilities are all welcome to attend. Music and refreshments will all be provided. The cost is $5.00 per person, and the attire is formal.

The Therapeutic Recreation Division hosts dances for the citizens of Chattanooga who have disabilities to encourage socialization, foster independence, and provide all participants with a good time.
