Country music sensation Sugarland will headline StarNight 2008 benefiting Siskin Children's Institute. The Grammy-nominated band takes to the stage Saturday, August 16, at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

About Sugarland
In the three years since the Top Five single “Baby Girl” put Sugarland on the map, the singer-songwriter duo of Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush has accomplished amazing feats. With almost three million copies sold of their Mercury Nashville debut, Twice The Speed Of Life, an American Music Award for "Favorite Breakthrough Artist," an Academy of Country Music Award for "New Duo/Group of the Year," a Grammy nomination for "Best New Artist," six CMA nods, arena tours from coast-to-coast and appearances on national TV shows like The Tonight Show and Good Morning America, the little band from Atlanta that could did, in a big way.
Now their second album, Enjoy The Ride, has already sold more than two million copies with chart-topping hits “Everyday America”, “Settlin’” and “Stay.” The band recently won its biggest award yet: CMA’s “Duo of the Year” Award, breaking a six-year record held by Brooks and Dunn.
Most recently, Sugarland received five nominations for the CMT Music Awards, which will be presented April 14 on CMT.

“We were thrilled to book Sugarland,” said Alexis Bogo, who is co-chairing StarNight 2008 with her husband, Barry. “This band is huge right now, and we’re excited to bring them to Chattanooga for one of the city’s best parties.”
