Women of Distinction are Chattanooga area residents that are accomplished women who have distinguished themselves their family, career & community. Ten are chosen to be recognized.
Sonia Young was recognized in 2007 as the Tennessee Woman of Distinction for her community involvement, volunteer efforts, and unselfish commitment to the efforts of so many agencies, colleges, and organizations in Tennessee.
Also honored last year for their "volunteer spirit" were: Jaqueline Brown, Carole Ann "Cam" Busch, Gail Chapman, Jo Coke, Alison Lebovitz, Shawn Kurrelmeier-Lee, Mary Jane "MJ" Levine, Susan Palmer Pierce, Dr. Susan Raschal, and Karla McKamey-Valadez. Over 200 ladies have been recognized since 1985.
These women give of themselves through their time, energy, and talents to make a difference in our community, the state, the nation, and the world.
We are thrilled that Sonia Young is chairing this year's event, so make plans to attend now.
