Through advocacy and philanthropy, the Women’s Fund of Greater Chattanooga (WFGC) champions a just and safe society for women. To that end, WFGC will host Cindy Dyer, a former specialized domestic and sexual violence prosecutor internationally recognized for her work on gender-based violence as the keynote speaker for the Voices 2016 luncheon to be held October 5 from 11:30 -1 p.m. at Stratton Hall.

Cindy Dyer served as the Director of the United States Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women, a position she was appointed to by President George W. Bush. In her current role as Vice President of the Human Rights team at nonprofit organization Vital Voices, Dyer travels the world implementing programs to effectively address violence against women.

Proceeds from the event support the advocacy and philanthropy of WFGC including work with our legislative delegation on passage of laws to protect and advance women and children, the Nightingale Network for giving and grant-making, and partnerships with aligned organizations supporting the safety and empowerment of women and girls.
