Come and join women over fifty for a fun filled celebration of our bodies through belly dance. Wear beautiful flowing skirts or dresses, flowers in your hair and bare feet or ballet slippers.

The instructor, Mattie Waters, will create a joyful space for us to unfold our wise women power, beauty and community while we learn this sacred woman's art.

Class fee is a $20 donation.

About the teacher:
Mattie Waters has settled back into her hometown of Chattanooga, TN after living in Brooklyn, NY. She has studied Theatre since the very young age of seven. While in New York City, she developed her skills as a choreographer, producer, yoga instructor and performer. She co-produced a monthly show, Casino Badia, in the East Village for two years with her dance troupe, Maiden China. As a troupe member, Mattie also tours in the
vaudeville show, Stars and Garter Snakes featuring Mardi Love's Voodoo Lilies and the jug band The Crow Quill Night Owls. Since 2016 she has been touring with Zoe Jakes' House of Tarot traveling belly dance show. She is the co-founder and site director for a nonprofit performance art company The Pop-Up Project. Currently, she is teaching dance at Zanzibar Studios.
